CEO Mary Barra had total compensation in 2017 of $21.96 million.
Barra's total compensation, which includes stock awards and pension changes, represents more than what she actually saw in pay. She received a $2.1 million salary and $4.96 million from her nonequity incentive plan.
GM said Barra’s compensation was 295 times as much as the company's median employee.

It is also very rare for anyone to get 0%... that’s some performance improvement plan level stuff
“also you're wrong your manager has the option to give you 0, 4, or 7% raises every 6 months. If you have never got a 7% and you close to 3 years, then I would advise setting up other opportunities as a fallback plan.”
Wouldn’t braindead GM logic dictate that those who received higher raises have a bigger target on their back? Means they are higher up on the spreadsheet. As far as I have heard, 7% raises are relatively rare.

and yes he is a level 5, only MBA's come in at a 6
Yes I am 100% sure he was a NCG we are still friends and we talk about our salaries openly. He has also had some 7% raise along the 5/6 we’ve gotten.Hes making in the 90s base. Younger people are very open about salary sharing. We even compare paychecks on Adp on our computers...
Thx for posting- are you certain that you are not confusing your employee orientation (which can be composed mostly of new college grads but still contain different sorts of hires) with a class specifically for NCGs?
When people talk about the 6 month raises, they are typically talking specifically about the level 5 hires who are fresh out of undergrad. If masters hires are considered under the same umbrella that is news to me- but I am pretty sure there is no way they are level 5, as the vast majority (or possibly all) NCGs are
25000000 my expectations
110000 actual pay
WTF
Not trolling my starting NCclass of 90 had a variance between 58-72k starting dependent on masters degree or not
@IYM - why do NCHs get raises every 6 months? wtf.
@Xpw9qiP-spf new college hires all start at 55-60k with the same exact raises every 6 months. anyone who posts something not in line with this is just trolling. There are also many of us who work minimum 50 hr weeks. (Not all- I know of at least a few new college hires who are lazy and dumb as hell. They are the minority though)
@Xpw9qiP-vgq Over 9 years you’ve only gotten 14k in raises? Wtf

Appears many of the new hires are extremely over paid for the 4 hours they work each day. No wonder GM needs to cut!

Looks like Austin and Phoenix blow away salaries for the same pay grades in Detroit and Atlanta.

@Xpw9qiP-pod IT tech path. Haven't been here very long, and I know my salary is on the low side for an 8a, and I expected that upon hiring. Can't disclose more.

Would you mind sharing the job title? Or if it is a tech or management track? A couple of people posted 130s for 7A, so 138 for 8A indicates that there's a big overlap of salary range between levels.
