Engagement zones...is that so you can meet and marry a co-worker so you increase your odds of having medical benefits if only 1 person gets laid off.

Just like HR title : TALENT AQUISITION. so glad I was told my position was eliminated. This is not a way to run a company.

All that money ATO spent training people for SAFe, what a waste. The process isn't working, hard to collaborate when half the team is in India. People were so anxious about passing the test or being fired. What a waste of time and money. Way to go ATO. Failed leadership AGAIN.

So they are changing the CZ model again? Yes, we have a clear strategy going forward... not. These clowns change direction every 10 minutes. We have no captain steering this ship.

@hdx How credible is the information you provided? Your answers seem like logical responses that I too concluded myself. I find it hard to believe that someone in the know would have time to troll the lay-off site and respond.

@hdx "The DevOps model only works when you have the right mix. Collaboration only works when you have the right mix. We are not going back to the silos of the past."

Not every team in ATO requires collaboration, hence the anger of bringing us back in to the office. We can do the same job from any chair with a laptop & a phone, we are system support. What part of leadership of ATO can't grasp that??

So much misinformation shared on this site its sickening.. let me help you out..

"heard we are supposed to get some direction and clarification from our leadership in April timeframe. Clarifying WFH, CZ, and stuff like that...." Partially true. There will be a series of re-orgs and re-structurings taking place between April and May. You will likely be given some additional direction as part of that process. It will likely not answer all your questions.

"Collaboration zones will be renamed to engagement zones." True. This has already been done. Check the Wiki.

"I heard this is what is being discussed at the GM meetings in Dallas" Partially true. The Dallas lockdowns touch on a lot of topics and ways of improving collaboration continue to be one of the hotter topics.

"they are going to designate X+1 locations that certain titles can work from, and if you don't go to one of those predefined locations for your title, you're out the door?" False. Different locations will focus on different business aspects. Again check the Engagement Zone Wiki. But it is not a blanket title based change. The DevOps model only works when you have the right mix. Collaboration only works when you have the right mix. We are not going back to the silos of the past.

"Yes, out the door without termination package." False. There are no plans to change our severence offer. Just like with every other surplus, if your position is eliminated, you will be given up to 60 days to find something else and up to 6 months severence if you leave.

"Or kill zones." True, but not until 2020. Renaming them as Engagement Zones is the first step in the militarization of the company.

I'm going to laugh if they don't take all the titles into account that certain groups have (there's probably 10-20 in my Director group alone). So much for collaboration within my own team if various titles get pushed all over the place.

Wait ... so they are going to designate X+1 locations that certain titles can work from, and if you don't go to one of those predefined locations for your title, you're out the door?
