Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

MH believes AI is a game-changer, but who says Oracle can get it right?

If they have some genius idea about the implementation of AI into Oracle’s businesses and a clear idea of how to do it, then they have me on their side on this, but I highly doubt it. I get it that in this day and age it’s s-xy to talk about AI and the endless possibilities that it brings, but in reality something like this would cost Oracle a lot of money to get into this story and knowing the practices and the manner in which things are done here Oracle not deliver a good set of products and at the end we will be stuck with something that doesn't bring earnings in, while the executives are proudly talking that we are the best on the market.

MH believes in saying strings of words that are the s-xy buzzwords of the day. Nothing new with that. The words just change from year to year.

MH thinks Oracle is a beached whale. He said so himself.

Not a strong whale swimming through the ocean devouring its prey.

A beached whale thrashing on the shore.

Freudian slip. He knows it's over.

AI is just one more thrash of the tail for MH. One last desperate chance at nothing.

He knows it's over and so should you.

MH is good at predicting things that doesn’t happen. Looser! He should write on how to destroy a company.

I wish the lemming Wall Street analysts and technology press (The Register excepted) would stop swooning every time a CEO mentions AI, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Chat Bots or blah blah. Two years ago it was Big Data and MH was talking IoT strategies. Yawn, how's the ORCL IoT product portfolio looking these days? Instead they should do their jobs, ask real questions and expose these phonies for dropping buzzwords without substance.

MH has been creating Artificial Ignorance for his entire career. Nobody knows the Ignorance field better than him.

What does Oracle know about AI or ML? Does Oracle have products focused on these areas or just because Oracle is a "data company" that this person doing the interview feels this provides some insight that makes Oracle special? The person doing the interview is just a solution engineering VP - so a technical sales person - not someone in charge of innovation at Oracle. The comment that JA makes in the article that if you stop innovating, your industry will be disrupted applies entirely to Oracle. They've been chasing trends and producing subpar software for years. So maybe the autonomous database will be something innovative but its really just evolutionary - does it use some AI engine to constantly refine tuning based on demand or or expected or predicted demand? Can anyone point to what Oracle has to offer for AI?

Yet another think MH knows nothing about, but hey if it gives his something to spout about, he’s more than happy to tell another pack of lies.

When has Oracle BS ever matched the reality of their products?

MH wouldn't recognize AI if it bit him in the arse. Sheer posturing.
