Restructuring at State Farm seems to has left a similar good old boy and way way many new Technology Managers who really other than micromanage and treat the analysts and support like high schoolers or a basketball team member. Maybe its their coyntdiwn to fund their retirement plan in five years. Not sure. Odd. is all Ive seen for months. I hav no idea their real or benefit to the new structure and way if gandlung efforts. Its kinda like a big show off thing now and most Managers left are related, married or getting promotions. They act like Directors who there are LOTS of those left who are not really that smart. I think State Farm has WAY too many people planning and calling their new roles Managers and Directors. Exhausting to see. Still giod ole boys and gals calling it managing Hard to understand. Scary they are in charge of budgets. Unprofessional and not reality. Still fake. Maybe Im not seeing what Deloitte and upper Management was trying to accomplish. Other than big bonus and raises and promotions for the selected ones. Everyone else had to start over. Not them. Frustrating to watch.

They've moved "people managers" into systems roles that they have no experience for. For example, we have guys with no real technical experience or even business knowledge operating as "product owners." This is the same old State Farm, only worse.
