Nqk: Sometimes packages are offered to union members as an incentive to retire. The offer that is in contract allows for a $50k lump sum payment plus $2200 per year of service capped at 40 years.
Other smaller offers can be $10k plus $1100 per year of service capped at 30 years.
I am not looking for a package nor do I want one. Just asking a question.
If you’re new, why are you already curious about a package for field techs? You will need several years of service to even benefit from a package.
On another note, bring on a package for field techs so my seniority can only get better and the old folks can go!
