Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Chicago Plaza - Retirement Home/Assisted Living

Biggest waste of money in PepsiCo

  • ghost town Monday’s and Friday’s - got to love support from home.

  • used for executive meeting Tues-Thurs aka expensive dinners all week

  • gossip hang out for millennials. Lucky if you get 2-3 hours of work a day

  • check the internet usage/web pages visited - time at Plaza is spend surfing the web, Facebooking and fantasy football. Not to mention execs refreshing the PepsiCo stock ticker every 5 mins.

Chicago Plaza is more interested in celebrating LBGTQ events and military flag exchanges than progressing the business. It’s all about the peripherals there.

Warehouse team the worst. The Sr director runs a side show. No respect or accountability. Sad

3ahj lets start with your productivity since you are obsessed with everyone else

Just because you sit in an office does not mean you are getting anything done or have any good ideas to make improvements

Chicago is a huge waste of money. They should take daily attendance and see how many people actually use the facility and for how long.

The travel at Plano HQ was out of control for years, when you have Sr Managers and VPs applauding their buddies in business review meetings for racking up hundreds of thousands of frequent flier miles within a YEAR traveling to the field for "important business" you know something is seriously wrong. It was an open secret/joke it was just to get away from the office, get away from home, goof off and accumulate frequent flier miles for free tickets for personal use. Funny that after Smart Spend kicked in, all this "business critical" travel to the field stopped dead in it's tracks and guess what ? the business never missed a beat. The only ones who missed it were American Airlines.

Many people feel like way about Chicago. I even heard there is one old time director (gopher boy for his Sr director pal) who only goes to Chicago for meetings so he can get dining club points at a fancy restaurant on our company. Waste fraud and abuse at its best!

Sounds like a bitter Plano employee. Newsflash - resources can work from home and still be productive in most functions.
