Not bad. I used to lost 50% when I cashed out profit sharing in 1985!
NJ 22% fed
29% in Texas

Just thinking about all criticism VZ receives on this site, and after seeing the taxes stripped from the paycheck, I think the government should really be the recipient of all the bashing!
Anybody else only get the severance and not the sti?
Thanks. And it looks like they treated OASDI correctly. Good to know.
29% Maryland we don’t have state supplemental tax. Only got hit with Fed, SS, Medicare. I was told by the pension team that they Feds hold 20% and you can file expempt for your state.

Thanks for the tip, bank account (and the federal treasury!) just got fatter....
Thanks for sharing the workhistory website. I see my 1/18 paystub also. This site is more informative than all those useless HR conference calls. But I'm sure HR got tons of kudos and bonuses for their typical poor performance.
FYI.. if you were listed as exempt on taxes.. there was no FED or State taken out.
Once you get get to the site where can you see the paystub? This is the severance site correct?
yup, there it is.....Thanks for the heads up!
