Has anyone else heard this going around the last few days? Workflow/hiring freeze, very interesting considering how many open rec’s there are....

I was made a verbal offer near the end of January then was told that all the manager positions are on pause and will be notified if and when they are hiring again. It’s not for all positions just for certain ones.
Oracle is hiring a webmaster, a few Windows help-desk, and a server administrator.
I think they have more openings than that.
Indeed hiring freeze. Got a verbal offer to start Dec 6th but it got initially delayed after the Q2 earnings announcement and finally revoked just before xmas. And this after a 6 months cycle.....
Believe me, you really don't want to work at Oracle anyway. Any other company will be better for you.

It seems Oracle is in Hiring Freeze again until next year 2020. Anybody heard about this?
No idea then. I got the bad news in March and I know that something could be unblocked with the begin of the new fiscal year (this one should finish on the 31st of May). I really don’t know if I will never get this job....
The freeze ended in March. I've had 2 new people join my team since then.
I got a verbal confirmation in January, the bad news of the freeze at the begin of March and still waiting without any news. Normal?
Is the freeze still happening? I heard verbally I would get an offer however, there is still a freeze.

2 people were just hired on our team. One started last Monday and one starts today,

Oracle is being slowly shut down with ongoing layoffs - of course it should have a hiring freeze, a permanent one. Get a grip, people !
Hiring freezed when TK left and now with upper management re-org, you again have to justify why the additional headcount and if the one you are hiring has the capability of doing the job. I know since we were supposed to hire someone and now it is in limbo.
Don’t be sad that your reqs are now frozen, rejoice bc your org had open reqs in the first place.
I heard this as well from Oracle HR. If all goes well, my expected start date is March 1.
There is hiring freeze, no more hiring till further notice. All yet to be released offers are on hold.
