Yes it’s appreciated but we earned it and deserve it. Look at what CEO made something like 14 million. We who talk to members smooth out their concerns and are the voices that give humanity to a huge corporation. Yes thankful and appreciative. But also earned and deserved.

I am thanking them because this was xtra and I am so grateful. It was more than I ever expected. Granted I wouldn't have received the money if I didn't work for it but this is something they weren't required to give me. I read all the time how people show up to work only to have the doors locked, no job, no severance, etc. I have been telling my friends, business acquaintances how this company even gave a pro-rated bonus to those who were laid off last year, everyone is impressed. How many major corporations give clinical staff, clerical staff, maintenance, etc bonuses? It is usually reserved for management and sales. This bonus meant more than money to me. I almost quit two years ago because of the stress. Now I feel like I am part of a team. The team isn't perfect, there is stress, sometimes people take advantage of each other but in the end, everyone in the team shares the benefits of the win. Humana did great this year and we shared in this win. Humana is only required to pay me my wage, they are not required to give me raise or bonus. Most places give you a tote with their logo and a note of thanks for working so hard to improve the company. Also, Humana can't control the tax rates. I think maybe we need to focus on what we have, not what we don't have. I don't understand the criticism for being considerate to thank them. I am grateful everyday that I have food to eat, roof over my head, I can go to a grocery store because my country is not ravaged by war. Yes, i work to put food on the table but so do many other people, some work harder than we would ever work and they still don't have food on their table. YES, I am thankful and I will thank Humana for sharing this win with me.

They also don't control state and local taxes either.

It was taxed separately at the tax rate required for bonus pay. A separate check wouldn’t have done anything to the taxes. Your bonus was taxed differently than your 2 weeks of pay. Humana doesn’t control federal taxes.

We all worked our tails off for them. We deserve our bonus and raise. No need to thank them for it
