Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

There is no PayScale

There is no PayScale.. HR confirms this. They use “ “Base Pay” compared to what other companies offer. If you transitioned into another role, instead of being RIF’d and retained your previous positions salary you can forget about a “base pay” raise. Chances are you are already over the “base pay “ amount. Humana should include base pay information with job descriptions to be more transparent. Also this a regressive model and they know what they are doing by using this model. Instead of having performance based raises, which would reward workers rightfully so based on their performance through out the year- they opt for this model instead. With the reclassification and role change project last year, some people were placed in roles that pay significantly less than what they earned in their previous role. Now they have to work in positions they are over qualified for or look for employment elsewhere. It’s interesting how this company after being successfully sued for discriminatory employment practices continues in the same behavior. Not just with regard to pay raises.

Well said. The OP is @XSVs1Oj-2zsk

@XU9SM8x-1eoe This is just wishful thinking from someone who probably does a c-appy job. I know of Humana offices where 90% of employees are minorities and 90% of those are female. Pay awards are Merit based. I also know for 100% fact hat Humana has paid people top up amounts when their pay drops below the market average. I have benefited from this and recently one of my team received an off cycle pay award.

This is what you sign up for when you sign up to work for someone else instead of working for yourself. Either you find some leverage and negotiate better pay or you take your butt elsewhere. That's how it is everywhere.
