Samsung/SK Hynix Acquisition

I don't know why this hasn't been covered as much in U.S. media, but this article from Korea talks about both Samsung and SK Hynix having interests in acquiring GF. Samsung's CEO went over to the UAE this week to meet the crown prince, and it is rumored that M&A was one of the topics discussed.

For those who are able to read Korean:

Whatever is going on, it is blatantly apparent that Mubadala wants out of GF, now. They likely have two options though - let it go for super cheap or shut the doors.

Yeah, need to brush up on your Korean. It was the UAE/AbuDhabi Sheik Prince Mohamed that was visiting Samsung this week. Other than that, could be something brewing which is likely a positive for Malta/Fab8 in the long-term, not sure about short-term, that's always a c-apshoot with M&A.
