Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

The beginning of the end.

This is not acceptable behavior for a half a trillion dollar company. Drastic cuts in hours, constant disregard of compliance policy, inconsiderate cuts in salaried and hourly staff, implementation of private investors, and erratically disposing of government mandated sick leave. Seems to me that in the past these vary actions were the cause of failure and bankruptcy with several retail companies. Customer Service has been Walmart’s highest regard yet they are not holding to their word. The Auto Care Center which I work in has been forced to so many budget cuts that we cannot supply the customer service expected by our customers. In turn we are drastically losing them and the company is continually cutting the budget. I have completed countless services on vehicles alone. Tires and Lube services. Honestly it’s been so bad at times that if equipment failed or someone was injured it could be a very long time before it was discovered. Or at least until a customer made a complaint because literally the only person in the department didn’t answer the phone or man the checkout.

Yea when you resort to stealing from your best most reliable long term associates you destroy a company pretty quickly...

Not sure about "government mandated" sick time. They did however steal everyone's already accrued/earned sick time, around a BILLION dollars worth. Real great ethical company to work for 👍
