Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

False info being given to news?

I see a ton of articles attributing layoffs to automation. The only layoffs I see is marketing, tech, and regions combining to cut more jobs.

This is a cost cutting, skeleton company now. My pay has been flat for 3 years due to very weak raises and low bonus payouts. Our competitors have 2-3 people handling the same workload as me. I hate to leave, but this just seems greedy.

Which plant was that at? I remember at Rosenberg the leadership team got whacked in the 2012 layoff.

We are closing an automation site...that thing eats about 5 people a month, so much for the future.

Who is picking up the workload of all of those folks laid off? New hires?

On the Frito side as of Thursday, at the plant I work at, we saw a number of our warehouse operations managers and all of our local HR completely axed. Pretty much everyone at the zone level is gone. Receptionists and nonessential front office staff were eliminated as well. No warning at all. All of the firing was done off-site.
