Thread regarding CVS layoffs

This is how we fix this

Get rid or cut down the higher ups that make the most. Get rid of the DAPLs with their useless Health assessments and pulse checks. Start closing non profitable stores. Start closing down stores earlier. Ex, close at 9 instead of 10. Midnight stores, close at 10, etc. That would be a start.

Well said, @XJrCNIk-1ccw.

If they really wanted to fix this c-ap take the store managers off the schedule so we can actually manage....most of us have no time to manage anyone as we are doing resets/revisions all day....I smell a class action brewing...cant call us managers if we never manage anyone

Oh and close down the Target pharmacies. That was a really bad investment.

I’m just glad the people commenting on this post don’t run the company, we’d all be out of jobs.

Fire the out of touch DMs. They come into the store every 3 months with insults and surprise surprise, morale is lowered when they leave. Hour cuts have us losing good employees and we could eliminate the hour cuts if we weren’t paying for expensive DMs and DAPLs.

How bout CVS just sells it’s more profitable stores to Target (keeps the CVS Brand name), sells it’s overall low volume stores to Walgreens for a bogo discount (with extra care card), Aetna keeps the several dozen or so profitable hub stores, we fire Merlo without a severance....send his a-- to Mexico and build that wall...and not have to make Bernie president. If not possible we’re going to elect Bernie and Oprah president and vice to make sure y’all get taxed and regulated the sh-- out of.

What happens when you keep blowing up a balloon? It becomes too big to handle and it pops. That is where CVS is. We are to big to handle the downward pressures and inherent inefficiencies of retail pharmacy. We are in a cost cutting cycle that is having the opposite desired affect. We cut payroll and raise prices to off set the customers fleeing, but in turn cut more payroll and raise prices more. This is where all retailers who have failed go wrong and it will drive us into bankruptcy sooner or later. They know they are in trouble because their precious Pharmacy business will not provide them with margin they have built their entire business model relying upon. The Aetna merger cost more money to integrate then it will generate, and as we know the retail side is dying. But it’s not dying because of Amazon. It is dying because we are pushing customers away.

To put this in perspective . Toys R Us failed with $5 billion debt. We are $70 billion in debt just from the merger. That is before we have even touched the integration. Buckle up everyone. It’s going to be an interesting five years .

Closing stores earlier is a great idea and will save a ton of money! Just make it universal and close ALL stores at 9pm! The amount of money you’d save in payroll and overhead would be significant and would be a great start!
