Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Are you kidding me?

They closed my department today. CLT no longer exists. No heads up, no anything. We came in, our queue didn’t work, they told us CLT was no longer a department.

Is this really how these layoffs were handled? Talk about lack of common decency and respect for employees. Truly shameful behavior on part of the company.

This is how verizon operates. For years it has been known that the peons have no future with his sh--hole company. They don't care about you, only their bloated executives that keep raking millions in bonuses while the peasants worry about their jobs. There was an executive in the Schaumburg office that had to have the latest tech installed in his office ASAP and then made a stink that the temporary cords on the floor interfered with his putting green. What a f---ing douche bag.

They threw Winback to customer service Advocates, with very little training. I feel sorry for the customer that is porting bacK to VZW then gets a rep that has no idea how this process works. Plus no leniency on credits and ACPD... when these calls are taking hours to Port back in because of no formal instruction. Thank you very much Verizon wireless :(

I understand your frustration and appreciate the circumstances you are in, but you did get a 30 day notice and a very generous severance package.

It's a shame no notice was given. Telesales was working to force winback calls into the care queue for nearly a year. They knew what they were doing. But, this should not come as a shock to anyone because this is how Verizon chooses to behave.
