Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Why do we still have stores?

This was the perfect time to get rid of a useless relic of the past. Yet only a few were closed. Why? If Verizon really wants to save money, there's an easy and painless way to do it.

Nobody uses stores anymore. At least not for what they are supposed to - going in to be show how to use Google doesn't count. So why do we keep so many open?

If they're selling, they keep em, if they dont sell, they close them. Stop hating stores.

Retail wireless as a whole is the piggy bank for bringing 5g to market. Wireless is the cash cow and given our goals and performance versus the compensation they are more than profitable. As long as the performance is there and profitable results continue retail stores will be around.

I don't know why so many Solutions Specialist are clinging to their careers at Verizon as they witnessed loads of people over the years get laid off like their nothing. The amount of people that work there (retail), and believe they are not going to meet the same fate is astounding.

Pretty stupid.
