Once the bonus is paid out, are you leaving with or without a job lined up? Will you give notice?

got a 7% bump and level change to 7A per recent CAP. it's swaying me to stay, just a little bit. I don't know if others will pay as well as GM.

Give notice then leave. Don’t burn bridges. You may never work again at GM, but odds are you will run into GM co-workers at another employer.

Did this last year. Collected on the bonus, quit without notice the next day, and started a new job the day after that. Worked out great! Didn't miss a single paycheck. Could see the writing on the wall. Never looked back.

After 16 year working on IT, this year I decided to leave after bonus. Without notice.

I’m leaving and I decided this a long time ago. It just so happens that these layoffs are happening at the same time.

Yes I agree that they are expecting another wave of people leaving voluntarily.

I have not decided yet.

I think GM is massively hiring new college grads from the ads they posted. Whether those folks will join is another question but GM seems fully prepared of people leaving after taking bonuses. Seems they really prefer it happens.
