I have a June date and I noticed people stopped being nice to me borderline rude. It's like I have a disease. I'm not complaining I like the time to myself and my check isn't impacted. Is anyone else getting that same vibe.....

June date here. My customers and close colleagues are still the same, but a lot of people who were casually/fake friendly before are ignoring me now. Don't take it personally.
I have handed off all of my projects and besides one final release next week I am looking and planning for the future. My boss doesn't really seem to care what I do and I have been working from home a lot more then before.
My team seems to be about the same, lots of changes happening with 2.0 so they are more preoccupied with their own jobs and making sure they have them in the future.
Quite a few of my peers are in your boat. Even though they are there, they are largely disengaged. Not unfriendly, just nothing to contribute. And I don't fault them for their behavior.
After the initial round of congratulations and good luck, what's really left to say? Besides, the rest of us still have (something like) a job to do and keep, so there's not much use in spending time on conversations that amount to nothing in the end.
It's not you, it's the situation.
Once I decided to push the button my mental and physical health improved. Actually this is a business and I did not expect to make friends.
Enjoy yourself. Life after Verizon will go on.
Corporations are designed to live on al long as they make money.
S--- it up cup cake
I agree. Who cares....And they are likely jealous. What part of you choosing to leave should you feel bad about and what part of the workload going forward is your fault or concern. NONE. Anyone who isnt happy for me will be out of my life my last day anyway. Best wishes from me to those who get to go
I got that my very first day on the job. It’s, like, they knew I was leaving in 30 years and they were sooo jealous.
March date for me. Of my co-workers, my true friends that are staying are happy and excited for me. Others have taken to chronic whining about how much work they are getting stuck with after I am gone and constantly trash mouthing me and other departing folks to others. For those that do this, I assure you it gets back around to us via those that care about us. You had the choice to press the button too so you can stick you crybaby whining where the sun doesn't shine. You chose to stay so s--- it up and deal with it.
My boss who is also staying has pretty much gone dark on me. I don't have to participate in his calls anymore around anything to do with stuff in Q2 and beyond. If I do attend calls, I typically don't even have to come off mute anymore. Yesterday I even forgot to log into Jabber until almost 11AM and it went completely un-noticed. I find this all quite exciting and relaxing as I go into the final days here. One 30 minute call is the only thing on my calendar for the entire day today and I have no role on it.
Snub me all you want. I smell my freedom coming and it is a wonderful aroma! There is really nothing that anyone can do or say here now that can ruin my day.
Big time. Won’t come near me like I have a disease.
Who cares!
We are getting out!
Retirement will be great.
Social Security, fat 401k, pension and government help,?
I'll be fine!
Oh you did save for a rainy day?
Yep I notice the same from minly managers as the date comes closer. Colleagues are generally fine.
