Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

My boss is lazy but she has been here for a long time...how can I Leave her leadership

All my manager does is sit in the back in her office or makes contents or has us do things for Instagram to pretend like we are something we aren't. My pay is suffering. I'm not learning and I hate working for her.

There is another store less then 5 minutes away that was just number 1 and reps are making more money, more career potential in my eyes.

I've never asked for a transfer and don't know how to do it. We have all made comments about her doing nothing and just being in the back and being lazy and nothing has changed so I can't really use that as a reason to leave.

Does anyone have suggestions?

A one on one? Hah biggest joke of them all. My DM only has one on ones so she can check her box with her director that she did it. Complete waste of time

Some daycares have waiting lists and some people like to prepare ahead of time.

Just quit. You are more expendable than your boss.

@1elv, why does an unborn child need daycare?

Talk to your DM. I was in a similar but worse situation where I was lied to about advancement and strung along for mentorship. There was another store closer to home that had more foot traffic and was close to my unborn child’s daycare. The DM made some calls that day to HR and a position magically opened at that store. I applied immediately and got the position even without an interview. After my parental leave I started at the new store. Again talk to your DM. They have the ability to make things happen.

If you truly believe your “lazy” boss is pulling down buku bucks, don’t leave your store in your quest for greater enrichment, become a lazy boss, dummy.

Don't look for job openings, call the DM, or call a nearby manager. Instead I'd post the question on a layoff board.

Quit, and find a new job.

You can start by taking ownership of your lack of performance...turn off Netflix, put down the sticks and work on your selling skills/product knowledge.

Can’t you apply for a job on the internal website?

This literally sounds like my store and other stores in my district. I’m willing to bet most managers work like this. The whole emphasis on social media is cringy to say the least. You have these grown a** men and women being cheerleaders on social media like we are in high school. For crying out loud, we are all adults right? Why is this company pushing grown folks to act like teenagers on social media. It’s not only odd but not effective. Everyone can see that they are just adding a filter to their personality. How ironic. Lol. If leadership reads this message: No it’s not working. Yes it is cringeworthy. Yes we know your social media personality is not your actual personality. Please be apart of the movement to stop this nonsense.

Just ask for a location change. Say the new one is more convienient to your commute or something. It may take a while for a spot to open up but if your numbers are decent you'll be first in line at least.
