Has anyone actively started any knowledge transfer? If so, what areas?

Yes, going on in my team - VES/Network provisioning IT department. Access setup for Infy employees is complete and now we are transitioning. Daily KT calls going on. March 22nd moving out.
remote KT
@X4ohJFM-4peu my department is hiring a contractor in addition to the Infosys replacement. I have no news yet of the infosys replacement. Just curious is the Infosys guy with you at Verizon office or are you doing the KT remotely
I didn't know we were interviewing replacements. I was given a body, but they don't have access to anything yet.
I am still interviewing my replacement. Nothing set yet. A few guys we liked didn't take it as it seems Verizon is slow to move or the offer is not attractive
Can't make sure the knowledge is transferred if 1) you are not given anyone to transfer to, or 2) you are given someone who can't or won't absorb that knowledge in the time frame you are given.
@X4ohJFM-3rff I like the way you think. The question was about how things are going i.e. is the KT happening. And you jump off in a tangential direction
One thing to remember is that if you were one of the ones that chose the buy out you are responsible to make sure there is knowledge transferred. Verizon will make sure of that. Otherwise, you could be left without any package at all.
Not started as the replacements are not in place. More than 1 replacement as prod access to infosys is not set. I have been pestering manager every week but very little movement
Nice quote, but sorry to break the news to you that you are dispensable. At least to Vz.
Really it was a simple question.
To the OP, not yet.
By sharing enough information about how you complete tasks, other employees can begin to recognize and acquire the knowledge that is being transferred, making you dispensable and setting the stage to help those that replace you by delivering your hard won wisdom, without the downside of acquiring such tough lessons burdening them.
