Severance

If you’re position is eliminated and you are offered severance, are you able to leave right away or do you have to stay the amount of time they give you to find a position?

your severance is based on hours worked. The GM can't put in a different date. Don't listen to these other folks. I took the severance and don't regret it a bit. Be a good associate. Don't let Sam's beat you down. It's a horrible environment. Hang tight and take your severance.

There are circumstances where you can leave before the final date if you and gm agree upon an earlier date. Otherwise you do have to work through end date given. They shouldn't really change your normal shifts, but can ask you to work in other locations throughout club.

If you and your CM can agree on an end date , you can leave early . Just make sure you do all the forms

there will be a date you have to stay until......in our club most had to stay somewhere around 45 days...in any case yes you will have to stay for a determined amount of time...and during that time they will make you as miserable as possible making you want to call off or maybe make you make a job ending error and thus nullify you severance...so if you choose severance you will need to be the best associate you have ever been for the next two months or so in order to actually get the money
