Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

It's not just us

AT&T is getting ready for major layoffs, and from what I can tell, it'll rival what we are having here and then some.

Which might create problems for people who have decided to leave or who will be laid off from Verizon soon (we all know it's coming) by oversaturating job market with people with same skills.

Basically, we are getting doubly screwed.

Anyone remember how Lowell McAdam would laugh and laugh at T-Mobile... while John Legere was kicking us in the nuts? Looks like someone lived in denial a little TOO long. :(

The days of fat retail wireless profitability is dead. T mobile killed it. All the money is hooking up businesses and homes now. The writing has been on the wall for years.

Big difference. From what I've seen AT&T is not voluntary or enhanced. But you are right. It will increase the job seekers. Then again, every company is laying off, so there are always job seekers. Fortunately I saved over the years so I don't have to go back into the work force unless something interesting falls in my lap. Good luck to all.
