Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Verizon adds 1.2 million new wireless subscribers

I’m not a company cheerleader, and i generally don't like glorifying the company. God knows we’ve been through tough times and what price was paid for good numbers. Just wondering, with this kind of success, with the new year, and with the buyout situation behind us, can we expect some calmer times to come concerning job security?

@2oiw You attack people for grammar, and spelling. Yet, you yourself cannot spell the word DEFLECTION correctly. Congrats, you have proved your credibility for any future comment going forward. Again, f--- yourself........b--ch.

@1vww, your comment is an off topic defection. Aren’t you against those?

BTW, only juvenile pussies use the word b--ch.

@1sqb Great rebuttal, Get a life you Grammar Nazi. How about you stay on topic and talk about the point of conversation. Deflecting typically comes from somebody who offers absolutely zero point to the conversation, but for whatever reason feels the absolute need to still include themselves. You my friend are a f---ing bum that offers no insight to anything intelligent. please, kindly go yourself and everything you care about, you dumb b--ch.

My parents went to a store and somehow ended up with new phones and new numbers. The old phones and lines were deactivated and the sales person said it was the only way to do it. Now it is months later and my parents are calling in again because they got charged again for the old lines.

Not sure if it is the salesperson or the company doctoring numbers but it is a pain to customers, and their child who they complain to halfway across the country 😇

Add a new line becomes a new subscribers, with all the promotions targeted only for adding a new line, customers are happy to add a new line and disconnect an existing line along with number transfer. Effectively no new subscriber. When these telco's start reporting the number of line disconnects, it will be evident. Peace.

@pmd of coarse. How else would Verizon Lie to the shareholders, and fudge the numbers to make it appear as if there is real growth in a saturated cellular market. I guarantee at least half of those "new" subscribers are joining Verizon for 4th(or so) time.

Are the customers who leave VZ and then come back considered new subscribers?

How are they categorized?

They are also giving stores “chargeback relief” because of all the fraud that has happened the previous two months by lowering credit standards.
