We had a meeting today letting us know that as of June 1st our position would be outsourced to a 3rd party company. We do UM CSR. We were told no RIF at this time but in the coming weeks/months we would have to move to UM front end review or apply for HCM. I don’t see how they will have enough spots to fill for us all to do UM initial review. I bet at some point around March / April they will notify us of lay offs.

Putting faith in Humana leadership is like putting faith in pirates, racketeers and magicians. As a rule, these groups are not typically truthful, above board and transparent concerning operational tactics
HCMs are going to auto dialer?
If you are looking to go to UM, consider it very seriously. I have never before been as micromanaged as I was in UM at Humana! Metrics so high that I didn’t take lunch or breaks; it wasn’t just me either as most of my teammates didn’t either. Also worked off the clock too. Audits are weekly and very tough. It was completely miserable!
I doubt you’re gonna see more HCMs. They are looking at ways to make you work faster(more efficiently) such as auto dialer
You should have faith in your leadership team and not speculate.
East Central region and I do not believe the 3 rd party group covers all regions so it probably won’t affect everyone in UM. Just ours and a couple others in the south I think. I am honestly not for sure sorry.
And UM stand for Utilization Management we review cases for patients in SNF
What is UM CSR? Exactly? I am currently an HCM interviewing for a posted position in UM, this makes me nervous
What region? Will this happen in all the regions for UR/UM review positions?
