We have a new manager who wants us to be more "agile." It's all about being agile with him. He keeps repeating the word like it's some kind of a mantra.
Considering that we are already working as fast as we can, I'm starting to think he has no idea what his favorite word really means.

@ksi it would take years to roll out things under the old methodology. I am not big fan of agile but hey, you've gotta either lead or follow. the fact is, all leading sw companies nowadays roll out things in an agile way. i know it has drawbacks and i know there is a lot of fluff surrounding it, but some kind of devops engagement with iterations and quick turn over is probably the best way to go nowadays. just my two cents, granted i only have 8 years of experience in the field so i cannot claim to be an expert, but that's my view

Agile methodology is an industry standard in software development. Implemented correctly, it would have produced efficiencies and quality into the end product. However, Vz does everything half assed, so here it's just another buzzword for the powerpoint docs.
