I'm not sure why people are worried, though. Considering how many employees Verizon wants to get rid of, chances of somebody being denied are slim to none.
I'm just waiting to see if we find out anything beyond that today, such as more info on the incoming layoffs.

Not true. There are denials if some six bands in the finance group. I feel really sad for those people. One particularly large group within finance had a lot of button pushers, but they all can’t go as they would need to be replaced and that costs money. Stupid move on Verizon’s part as they will be demoralized even more than they are now and will probably leave anyway.
