I would advise everyone to not be deceived by the propaganda posted on the workplace site day after day. We are being ordered to post pictures on there multiple times per week. Workplace is being used as nothing more than a marketing tool to us to present the company as a fun loving and laid back company. I would love to see Workplace present the real picture of how things truly are, wouldn’t it be nice to record and post video of Market Managers threatening you or demeaning you in front of your peers? How about video of the Regional Managers sharing such generalities as, “we have to get more members” Instead of the phony thumbs up pictures with the goon squad members, maybe post the stressed out picture of yourself after a 14 hour day getting ready for the visit. In Workplace land, Sam’s Club looks like a fun and exciting place to work but in real life, the morale and energy is as exciting as a funeral.

It probably just hurts when you don’t get any likes and your pic was totally better than the other assistant at the club across town that posted the same thing and got way more likes than you did.

I don’t draw issue with the workplace site itself, the point of the post which reads clearly to me, is that we are being forced to post pictures on there to present an image that is not how things are. I stand by what I said, it is being used as a marketing tool to present a false image of the environment. Many of pictures being posted aren’t legitimate pictures, they are fake. Facebook posts are optional, workplace posts are not!
Workplace is Facebook... everyone posts their good side on both... what should be any different??? You posting on your Facebook page you fighting with your spouse or your dirty kitchen.... not likely. You post what you’re proud of or you’re just faking it to make your self look better. Not much difference.
I appreciate your commitment to Sam’s but business is business you’re just a number . When they are ready to screw you you will find out how heartless they are.
Some clubs are great to work in. I’m sorry you have a bad club and you are having to Fake it. Maybe change your outlook, change your scenery, or surround yourself with better people.
