Can anyone speak to whether 5G will greatly automate and simplify telephony unlike any previous technology?

Once the mini cell towers are out onto every corner phone pole in 2019, irradiating more people and unborn babies, I give the remainder of the 30,000 union force and the 100,000+ managers less than 3 years tops.
If people will grow a backbone in this country and speak out about corporate abuse and their undying quest to destroy the American middle class and our environment and our health and safety, THIS WON'T HAPPEN. But somehow I doubt it since 35% of this country has put their faith in a kleptocrat and his criminal henchmen who give our hard earned taxes to the top 1% in this country and refuse to protest about it. Roll over and take another one...
so how are they going to compete when they are going into areas where google fiber and stupid fast coax connections already exist?
5g has yet to be proven. I wouldn't bank on anything soon.
I love how "The 5G" had so much gravitas. Insert "faster low-latency connect" into your interrogatory and you'll know the answer.
The answer is complicated because it will need labor and management for the near term but long term like anything we have seen technology replacing people but its a process that hopefully labor and management thru time get to get out while it changes.Yes you will still need people though just less of them and probably for different functions .So its kinda like this if you have time in youll make it thru ,but obviously if your a young kid starting out in something its kinda not going to be the same long term .No different then when people used to be tv repairmen right now youll find a few now but the buisness has changed
Overall, the answer is Yes.
As 5G (it will take a while), is implemented in the NE, the last mile will no longer be required.
Eventually, all Copper will be abandoned.
Then there will be less need for labor and management.

All of the 5G manufacturers seems to have virtualization, automation, and DevOps baked into their offerings...so yeah, that's a no-brainer.
