Have you ever gone back to your old neighborhood after being gone for 25 years? The corner store might still be there but the faces has changed. Not the same. It want be the same place without my friends.
Moving on. Did not die on the job.
I understand the sensation of mourning. I opted in. And while I still am not guaranteed to get it, there’s a separation and mourning period. I’ve spent a lot of time at this company and I’ll definitely miss some of the people.
At the same time I’m excited for what’s next and hoping to land a job where I don’t have to worry about layoffs every year.
You will get over the missing the people quickly.

VZ is no longer a good job.
I hope to see a wide grin on the face of a fella I haven’t seen smile in far too long. I hope he was accepted and gets a date that best meets his wishes.
Good luck to all. Sadly, it won’t be the same without you. Change can be sad sometimes, knowing I’ll never work shoulder to shoulder again with some people I know better than family. I may never see some again, so it’s with a little bit of mourning that I view things going forward in a different way from which I had come to depend.
