In case you missed the noon call ..HR says that an overwhelming majority of folks will be accepted overall. Over 5k (she couldn't provide an exact amount) will have a 12/28 off payroll date. They will have to provide an outside communication as to how many folks will be accepted... Monday should be very interesting!

Rejected and bitter some. No real intention of losing most of us 1000 plus rejectees so why did they offer it. Some make sense but others not at all like if they had less than 20 forget it.
I was rejected. However I am not bitter. It was a very tough decision. I had decided from the get go whatever was meant to be, will be.
1vgv go to eweb and search lunch and learn December 7th. Click link then select replay. It will take you to a pre populated screen just enter your name email and agree. On the last screen select the 2nd option. I kept getting an error but after the 3rd time it played. Every thing this forum is saying is true.
Good luck to all
Good luck to all. It will be sad for me to see many kind people leave.
Cant find the recording. Does anyone know what to search for in vzweb? Thanks!
This is legit knew someone who was in the call... so you people that say it's not true.... it's true
Just watched the replay. The attendee list (from the live event) is even in the upper corner, so you can look for people you know while you listen (it's rather long). I found the HR Lunch & Learn invite in my Inbox, had forgotten about it. Link is in the email, or just search VzWeb like others said. Good info.
This is not troll post. There was a call today at noon. There was a call at noon today led by Martha. She couldn’t give the total number that was accepted and she did say 5k or so will get a 28th off payroll date. She said if you are selected for a March off payroll date you will get a prorated STI for 2020 at 6/26th of of target. The information for this call was in one of the emails they sent a week or so ago with the financial call information. They said the information was also on VZ Web. Put believe what you want but I was on this call. Martha said two emails on Monday. One (standard) from Hans and then one from her, your release info or denial. She said her goal is between 12-3 est.
Martha said "well over 5K will be leaving on 12/28". Martha also said the company will announce next week how many were approved for VSP, but will not divulge how many volunteered and the percent of volunteers approved.
I wish I get Rejected
It’s legit. As mentioned above search for it on VZWeb.
"So most importantly do we get a merit increase if selected for VSP?"
No, we aren't eligible for merit increases once selected
I'm ready to go, but if they keep me until March that gives me time to max out my 401k for the year. I'll spend my days training my offshore counterparts with dubious credentials. Let them f--- over the next generation. Either way I'm good.
So most importantly do we get a merit increase if selected for VSP?
I just want to know how many were rejected. Because I can’t believe til I look at the portal and it tells me I’m accepted. My job isn’t that unique.
Ok, much more. I prematurely posted 11% as a total. Still seems low for 12/28.
A little over 11%? That's all. RIF a be coming for the rest.
Just listened to the replay. all info here is legit.. 5k gone 12/28, "much more" overall (final number from Hans monday by 10am). overwhelming majority accepted
Come on Monday!!!! Daddy needs his layoff package. :)
@-cyt Not sure where you're getting "25% of people rejected" from, but the reality is Martha stated the vast majority (I read that as about 90%+ of those who clicked yes) have been accepted. I'm good with that.
Call was real but it's all relative. If 25% percent of people are rejected, that's still a huge amount of bitter employees left to deal with but the statement about the "vast" majority is still correct.
I think we take a culture hit in many places where the pockets of rejected are larger. Should have just let everyone go but with later off payroll dates. Probably less than 5% are truly not expendable.
Anyone internal can confirm there was a call today by reviewing the Lunch and Learn webinar schedule on the intranet. Call was recorded and replay should be available at some point.
I didn't hear hear an overall number slip, but the other details shared here so far are correct.
I was on that 12 noon call also -- it is legitimate. Was run by Martha Delahunty. Said the vast majority who applied will be accepted, and around 5K will leave on 12/28. We can sign a release letter up to 45 days after the off payroll date. Medical (Cobra) kicks in immediately after last day worked. Email will be sent first from Hans around 9 am EST on Monday morning announcing the end of the separation plan. HR will start sending emails to individuals who clicked "yes" (and didn't revoke) between 11 and 3 EST. Email from HR will contain a link to microsite where it will say if accepted or denied. If accepted it will show last day to go off payroll. Instructions will be provided to order boxes to return laptops, phones etc. Martha confirmed all senior management now have list of those who have been accepted and will reach out within a few days of notification to work with individuals regarding transitioning tasks. eWeb portal will no longer be available after last day worked, but a special Separation Portal has been set up so those leaving can access after departure (must set up a logon and pw before leaving). It's the real thing here, kids. Gonna be a very long weekend waiting for that magic email from HR on Monday!
Looks real. You can search and find "Lunch and Learn" on our internal web. Haven't had a chance to listen to replay yet.
This is true. Heard from a very credible resource that most will get accepted and be off this month. Wish i had taken it
@weq i may have missed the 12k slip but heard the more than 5k piece..Fyi the call was recorded so you can go back and listen ...
Actually, there was one of those HR lunch and learn calls today to talk about timing of everything on Monday and a Q&A. I thought I heard her say 12K were leaving 12/28, then she said 5K, then when someone asked about the 5K, she said much more than 5K.
Imaginary call. It's almost as if you clowns don't have real work to do.
Noon call? When we were told to check our emails this Monday, I am thinking B.S.
Still keeping my fingers crossed.
What call? Good news if true!
