So here in my district (GLO7) several stores have been getting hit with in store pick up AND in store first person fraud. This store has been doing on average 60-100 new activations per day since Black Friday. On average they do 10-20 on a good day. This is a B level store. Now that inventory has become picked over at this store it is spreading to the other stores close by in the area. The manager even reached out the fraud and asked corporate to turn off in store pick up. (Digital is the future after all). They denied the request. Legally employees can’t turn them away or not sale to them when they have provided all documentation. (The managers tried given them the run around to delay fraud customers from receiving phone. They got rowdy and security had to be placed at the store.) It’s INSANE. On a Sunday the tracker showed 50 new activations for the store. 32 were phones. Regional manager and opps manager will be at the store tomorrow to assess what’s going on. But think about all the money being loss....I’m wondering what they will do? With the store bleeding out inventory and the cost of it will they close the store? Wondering if anyone has ever seen this?
The store also has the highest ISPU and fraud in the nation. Crazy.
