When I got fired from GE Power Systems about 12 years ago I told the HR id--t who was escorting me out the door that in 10 years they're going to do a study as to what went so wrong for GE Power and they're going to determine it was handing the leadership of the company to the Pratt & Whitney engineers that came out of West Palm Beach. Why would you hire a group of engineers that your company had just put out of business to come work for you? Did the question of sabotage not cross your mind? I was off a little on my predictions ( 2 years). Nevertheless my prediction was spot on. They drove the company into the grave. They are the worst decision makers. When I left I told my Section Chief "Any body who would pick this design over that one doesn't have the sense to piss in a pot." And you know what? None of those Pratt & Whitney engineers have enough sense to piss in a pot, and the GE management that hired them had even less sense than that.
