Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

The worst decision makers

When I got fired from GE Power Systems about 12 years ago I told the HR id--t who was escorting me out the door that in 10 years they're going to do a study as to what went so wrong for GE Power and they're going to determine it was handing the leadership of the company to the Pratt & Whitney engineers that came out of West Palm Beach. Why would you hire a group of engineers that your company had just put out of business to come work for you? Did the question of sabotage not cross your mind? I was off a little on my predictions ( 2 years). Nevertheless my prediction was spot on. They drove the company into the grave. They are the worst decision makers. When I left I told my Section Chief "Any body who would pick this design over that one doesn't have the sense to piss in a pot." And you know what? None of those Pratt & Whitney engineers have enough sense to piss in a pot, and the GE management that hired them had even less sense than that.

This post by @NIG4ud0-8Fqra was buried in one of the other threads. Thought I should repost it, given that I thought that the OP made a valid point.

Former Pratt rat. They moved most of the work in West Palm to East Hartford as a cost cutting move. It wasn't shut down.

Also, this "valid point" referred to former P&W engineers as "group of engineers that your company had just put out of business".

I must have missed the memo that UTC went out of business. And the memo that GE has "Section Chiefs" that walk people out, along with HR.

BS meters need to get re-calibrated from time to time, apparently.

You repost everything so.. that.

It's a silly point. I don't mean dumb but silly. If we look at the problems with the HA, which this post was made in, the people who caused the problems were not former P&W people. Sorry but they aren't. It wasn't P&W people that designed the combustor. It wasn't P&W people that failed to measure the blade temperature at the right spot.

The guy was escorted out the door 12 years ago because, by his own admission, he didn't get along with anyone. Now he's making general accusations about something he doesn't know anything about. You think this is a "valid point"?

Stop being a wiener and stop reposting bull.

Be careful. Some leak information posted here to media and hurt the company. Remember how quickly W Street knew about JF's last video.
