Lol about Lucent- yes that took off like a rocket and it also came crashing down. I was there when it came crashing down. Any of my coworkers had their entire 401ks invested 100% in LUCENT STOCK. THEY WERE WIPED OUT. Never own that much stock in the company you work for. You are putting all your eggs in one basket. It is unwise.

I was around when AT&T spun off Lucent and Wall Street was raving about what a great inestment it was. As I was very familiar with Lucent, I couldn't believe they were looking at the same company I was. As a result of their cheerleading Lucent stock took off in a moonshot only to crater (literally) on the retun trip. If you work for a company you know a lot more about how things are really going than the experts of Wall Street, who only have what the company chooses or is compelled to disclose to work with. If none are advising to sell AT&T, it's just as likely it's a good idea to get rid of it as to hold it. Might as well shake your magic 8 ball for advice.

Get the facts first, then you can distort them as much as you please. Mark Twain

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, they don’t always sync with facts.

The past 12 months have seen 35 Wall Street analysts (the most recently posted) which saw Moffet Nathanson upgrade AT&T from Sell to Neutral, not a buy signal by any means. But of this grouping, here is what the score card shows:

0 - Sells

10-Holds

10-Buys

0 - Strong Buys

The other 15 fall into the Neutral, Outperform, Underperform or Market Perform range.

The consensus avg target price these analysts have come to is $36 (highest price $48/Lowest price $28). In the past 12 months the Sell signs have vanished, that hasn’t happened in a long time....not a guarantee of course, but worth noting in a period where T has taken on a huge amount of debt.

The Wall Street geniuses that are spoken of, Bank of America -Buy/ UBS Group - Buy/ Guggenheim - Buy and 7 more of prominent mentions.

So what about the other 15 analysts, some giving a Neutral, or the rest giving Market Perform or Outperform or Underperform....maybe they weren’t paid off enough to rate a Buy listing! Or perhaps this is just one of those presumptions that is ‘just smoke but no fire!’

Exactly. No one of these Wall Street geniuses are stupid. Any company with as much debt as T is not a good buy. They were paid off big bucks to talk up our brilliant strategy! Give me a break! And now- it’s clear that no amount of lipstick is going to pretty up this pig...

a Single (ONE) " financial expert "said yesterday that AT&T is a good buy", yet no one is buying, May be he just got a BONUS from AT&T death star to lie and deceive? like the Cohen Fiasco? the overall stock price, cooked books and not so bright future, it is all we need to know, lol

Isn't it funny that it's only now after the mess has been made that financial "experts" are starting to question AT&T's direction?
