Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

The flawed practices in dealing with employees

People make the mistake of believing they as an individual are important to Sam's. The management is trained to steer you toward believing in Sam's as if it were a worthy cause like saving whales. When a person wakes up , like Neo Waking up in his pod, they get flushed like Neo. Once you begin to operate in the full knowledge that all the Walmart culture c-ap is just that , c-ap , and take a stand for yourself the management acts as though you are becoming a traitor even though it is they who have been traitorous to you as a person all along. They genuinely want you to feel as though you should make a sacrifice for the sake of Sam's to their god Walmart. When you take that severance you mark yourself as a disgraced disciple to be shunned and whose nale is never to be spoken again....

Great post @WdS6tQ2-enr . You nailed it.

Every company has some type of culture and if you took the time to read about other companies many of them are focused around the three basic beliefs as well. Most companies will attribute it back to mr Sam.

BUT let’s stay focused here because you feel that for some reason you shouldn’t have to be a part of the culture or want to devalue it (as with most in the company). If someone enjoys Sams club and believes in what they have to offer who are you to say otherwise? There are many in management that do believe in the company because they do provide them a paycheck every two weeks. At the end of the day this is a business but it is a family. Most associates or managers spend more time in the building than they do at their own dwellings, children or family. Many long term friendships are made.

Maybe this place or station in life is just not for you...

It’s very tiresome to continually see poor negative attitudes. No one owes you anything. Nothing. And it’s just not here it’s anywhere, you’re not entitled.

At the end of the day what do you have if you have nothing to believe in? If you find no good in work then change your story. If you’re unhappy at home change it. Stop complaining and grab control of the reins and do something about it. Everything is free will.

Companies are not are living, breathing entities. It has no empathy, no sympathy. Individuals are not important. Workers are disposable, easily replaced. Do not become emotionally involved with your place of work. To do otherwise is to live the folly of fools.
