If you are a manager or director that doesn't know about the upcoming layoff then you are part of them. There are 3 different types of Layoffs, 1st is cut a percentage of the workforce like 10%, 2nd cut as many people you can without cutting production, 3rd is we need to save X amount of money in payroll and they will cut until they reach that number. Usually in this case is when managers dont know who is getting cut until the last second because finance and HR is making the list.
If you are in the know about layoffs, they make you sign a paper that says you won't disclose any information about possible cuts, if you do tell then you will be fired. Most managers and directors won't say a word because they are too worried about there own jobs.
