Has anyone found reasonable health insurance coverage once your RIF/Cobra runs out? I have 3 months left before I am on my own as far as purchasing insurance. I am age 56 in Florida. Thanks.

the year after I took a payout I had minimum income...Verizon kicked me off cobra...so I market placed it and happy to pay 350 only a month for good health insurance ...under life event joined in march in nj….someday I might go back to Verizon expensive coverage....if I win the lottery...imagine the 25,000 is after tax dollars for their coverage....so first make 40,000 dollars then hand it over to your old employer that RifD you so they can get a bigger discount....yeah I sit on my hands a little but I budgeted for my 2020 potential retirement...a date I made up because I had to build in the cost of expensive health coverage...practically doubling our cost of living...
think twice about working without insurance!
I agree with @1wpp
I'd happily pay a large chunk out of my salary just not to have to worry about health costs. 10%, please take my money. 20% or 30%, please take my money. Just take the darn thing off the agenda, for me, my parents, my kids, my wife, my siblings, everyone, just eliminate cost.
In normal countries you don't need to worry about getting modern medical care.
@1ygi I don't need to think again. I am aware that the subsidy is a figure based on frozen rates. I am aware how we were shafted at the GTE/BA merger. And I pointed out how high my monthly premium would be. I was also pointing out how much higher it would be without it. The point I was trying to make is that as an ACTIVE employee with awesome insurance, I had no clue how awful it is out there trying to get health insurance.
OP, are you "Christian" ? If you are, then you have an alternative. You can join a Healthcare Sharing Ministry. There are several out there. I'll be joining Liberty HealthShare when my Cobra runs out. Here's a link to someone who reviewed Liberty HealthShare.

Good Luck to you !
Think again. You need to look into The subsidy. It is not a true percentage today. It was a percentage and was based on the insurance cost in 2008. It basically is locked in at that dollar equivalent. I am at 64% but it is going to cost me > $24 k for a family of 3 the subsidy amount is about $6 off of $30. So it really is about a 20%!subsidy.
Obama care
There is no such thing as reasonable health insurance that is not subsidized by an employer. I am fortunate that I've been around long enough to get a 60% subsidy from Vz when I retire, but I'll still be paying (2019 rates) upward of 1400 a month for myself and my spouse. I can't imagine what it would be if I had to pay the whole thing myself. And Vz can take that perk away anytime. Then I'm stuck with whatever I can find on the marketplace. Say what you want about VZ, but they have EXCELLENT health insurance at extremely affordable rates. If I could, I'd stay just for that.
Unfortunately you will have to face the realty of Health Insurance in the USA, the older your get the more the price goes up. Its not like in the dreamland of Verizon where the premium price you pay are not that much. I am guessing average cost for age 56 is 450 dollars a month, and then they try to say we don't need health reform. In normal countries you don't need to worry about getting modern medical care.
Your health insurance options are going to be highly tailored to your life and health circumstances. Best thing to do is 1) get a job 2) join a contractor Union 3) marry someone with a job 4) get on the cheapest plan you can and hope like hell you don't get sick before you find your next job.
