Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Is this HR in action?

I was looking at Glassdoor's recently published 2019 Best Places to Work list for U.S. Large Employers and I was frankly shocked to find Cisco there.

How?

The only explanations that comes to mind is that HR is hard at work drowning out any negative posts with a bunch of positive ones.

Is there another explanation?

I got several emails from HR spouting off that we should rate cisco high on the ratings as that's how we "choose who we work with". Such a load. I reported it to Glassdoor, but of course nothing happened.

Forbes magazine is owned by a Thai businessman. How much are the consulting fees to improve the Best Places to Work rank?

BPTW is a revenue driven campaign by Forbes. Companies pay thousands of dollars to participate.

Glassdoor and Forbes are businesses focused on generating revenue. Not a valid place to obtain company information.

Glassdoor allows companies to remove negative reviews (by claiming the reviews are false). I know because I reviewed a different company and my review disappeared a few days later. You can't trust Glassdoor.
