The store I work at in Maine is advertising for delivery drivers. Why? We don't have enough business to keep our current full and part time drivers busy. Is it that we are about 1000 feet from a super Walmart,is it true we'll be delivering parts from this store to Walmart customers? No one is telling us anything. They just closed a big Advance store across the street from a Walmart 30 miles from us. This company s---s,my boss is a super nice guy who gets c-apped on by everyone above him. Why he stays is unknown. I'll ride the wave and see what happens. One good thing,Maine's minimum wage goes up to $11.00 Jan 1,so I get a raise.

If you are making above the min. Wage , say $5 hr is the min wage and your making $6 hr . And your offered $6.50 hr. Then min wage goes up to $7 hr. At the same time And your being paid $7hr now do you seriously believe you just got a bigger pay raise. How stupid are you your back at the min wage. Think about it.
That's the only way you'll ever get a raise at Advance is for the minimum wage to go up.
You Better hope you get $11.00 an hour, they keep promising me That But I have not seen it yet!
