PTO Rumor

Heard this rumor today. In Feb 2019 will be the last PTO payout for unused hours. After that, it's use 'em or lose 'em. Anyone else heard this?

Doubtful. Many states (such as California) simply would not allow this. So while there are states that would, "generally" the company prefers to have one unified set of rules so they likely wouldn't try this.

I doubt this is going to happen. They would have to basically reinstate the old "sick pay" program, the old LOA program and re-do the family leave policy. PTO has also been a positive recruiting tool with younger workers in Walmart Tech areas.... they like the flexibility.

Well they did steal our sick hours when they went to PTO, this would be the next logical move for this greedy unethical company...

I don't doubt it. Anything to save them money. But how can you use them, if they are not approved?
