People can be stupid sometimes- or all the times in this case. If you're still with the company despite clear handwriting on the wall it's dying, it's your own fault when you lose your job "suddenly", because you couldn't open your eyes to see this company had at one time over 4,000 stores, and today is trying to keep 400 alive. You know what the logistics are going to be with so few stores? It's not like those 400 are in one state, those are all across the country, the shipping costs alone are going to kill them!

You can hate Sears and Eddie all you want, however, we're talking about people's livelihoods. I left Sears Holdings two years ago and never felt happier. It sounds like you're a real negative person that can't let go of the past. Just let it go.

I also hate Eddie because of what he has done to this once great company, however, I do take offense to your "job shaming" of Sears employees. When you say, "Go get a real job", it's a slap to the face to thousands of employees working in the stores, field, and at the HQ. What would you consider a "real job"? A job's a job. You got to pay the bills somehow. It's not easy getting a job anywhere, regardless of your education and experience. Heck, I personally know someone with a Masters Degree that is just working a menial paying office job.

Take a step back and breath. The employees, especially with families are worrying about their financial futures and may see Eddie's bid to buy more time.
