Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

The top 6 percent of the company do very well in any situation

Yes of course they did....the top 6 percent of the company do very well in any situation...they always win. if the company almost collapses due to their plan...they get credited with a recovery plan...if the company is doing well...then gold falls from the sky on them.

Now for the normal day to day staffers performing the work...well they don't fare to well...nixed pension, cut benefits....no golden parachute or even a merit increase that's meaningful.

Reposted this from @WHgpFO5-1son , but the OP tells the sad truth in these couple of sentences. Thought it deserved to be a thread.

Yes so are well deserving, honest hard working people with exceptional skills in many disciplines.

However there is another type....and that is what's wrong with lot's of companies today...just like our politicians...

The top 6% of any company will probably land on their feet wherever they go. Ambition, charisma, skills, and ability to network are what got them there in the first place. Others will cast aspersions, while failing to reflect upon why they never enjoyed such bounties despite being born into a nation with the same opportunities to excel.
