Unless your pension is estimated to be over $5k/month, you got nothing to worry about. I’m relatively certain most of the mo--ns on this board are nowhere near the income level required to earn that level of pesion benefit.

Limits in the protected max payout. Great article. Just to be aware. Its definitely not as simple as saying its protected by the Fed. Govt. Many other large companies have filed bankruptcy and only paid out a fraction of pension benefits. The same thing with pension funds managed and then invested through Madoff Securities. The money was just gone and pension guarantees paid very little compared to each retirees earned pension.
