They should quit their moaning and go work for the genuine competition, gas station convenience stores and 7-11. The grass isn't any greener.

So you are now doing 14,000 a week instead of 12,000 a week! Why did you put it in the percent form instead of the dollar form? Because the percentage form is what we reward? You still are not doing what most stores do in half a day ! F your 17 percent, it ads nothing to the profit pool! Profit pays the bills people not percent of sales to budget
I am a new store manager in the southern market and my salary is roughly 51000 pre bonus.

Manager from the south here. I already talked to the DL and he said the only way to get a raise is at annual review or getting promoted. I felt I was getting low balled when I took the offer but I was only getting 44000 as SMIT and it was going to be a very low volume store( I only get 3 pallets a week and about 12000 in sales) so I took it with the hopes of moving to a higher volume store after I proved myself and getting a raise then. Fast forward 1 year and I am 21% over budget and 17% over last year #1 in region for sales % but no raise yet.
It's all on depending what the DL wants. I know a store manager in my district who makes 48k, and I told this manager not to accept the offer because he was getting low balled. Especially when I started much higher. He still took the position because bonus incentive for that store was 5k. He got screwed because the DL didn't want to pay. In my experience you have some that will pay good because they want to retain talent and others who will just pay the minimum.
Depending where you areThe pay varies widely with managers but most managers are not makinng 70k or even close to that. Your DL won't do anything to fix it either. If your making 70k in the south you are blessed

7 11 store manager pay 30-45k. Cvs store manager pay 60-90k plus bonus
