15 years back . s FS doing average of 25,000 a week had the following help! District manager, pharmacy supervisor , photo district, cosmetic district , administration ast, Rx tech trainer, store manager, ast manager, 4 shift supervisors, ft cosmetic person, ft card person, ft photo dept manager, 4 photo techs , 4 stockers, 8 to 10 cashiers, unloading crew, at least 3 pharmacist, 8 Rx tech , lead tech , Ft drive thru tech . Manager could hire needs immediately no waiting, not in common to have 600 hours in this volume on front ! Yes things continue to streamline, can you imagine having all that help and now you get 152 hours Fs? That is why new managers are important to the company, they have no reference to years ago and expect to work like dogs .

I never had that much help 15 years ago in any of the stores I ran and they were all $35 to $40k / week. It also took us two days to manually order the store by MSQ. I'm sure we can all laugh about some of the hardware but there's been tons of software improvements and improvements in work processes to justify most of the labor cuts.
There is about 287 unlicensed
DLs- somebody got to get their facts straight
Well thats strange bc I know of 5 unliscensed DLs currently in 2 states. So out of the 50 other states there is 2????
As of 2019 there are seven unlicensed DL still employed in the entire company.
That is over 100,000 jobs eliminated across the country by my estimates
Get over yourselves. CVS doesn't care about you. They do not care about any of us. High volume. Low volume. Doesnt matter. You are a number just like the rest of us. Uncle Larry wants more money. We are all replaceable. DLs don't care!!! No one does. They do not care if you are a Manager or a Pharmacist. We all can be replaced. Its about MONEY. The all mighty dollar. Yell. Scream as loud as you want but NO ONE AT CVS CORP CARES ABOUT YOU!!! No matter what anyone thinks.
Larry took and peed away all the money you made for the company... Walgreens had gone thru tough times but still has some help in stores.
CVS has competition now. Ain't like the fat times of old when you could afford to be wasteful. First the supermarkets, now Walmart, Costco, and Amazon are coming. FS is going to be cut to the bone first. Rx cuts are inevitable, but they'll try to hold off that day of reckoning as long as they're able.
so true, so true.
I agree with you on all that except that a new manager will not necessarily do well. There’s still a learning curve to doing ok with unreasonable staffing.
My friend, I am with you, and I am in the same boat. I remember as well.
Are you planning on staying?
that is if you can find anyone that wants to work.
