Cutting 10k jobs puts a tiny ding in the 10 billion $ goal... What's next and when?

Assuming the 10.4k vsp employees cost the company 200k per year (they likely cost more when you add office space, equipment, medical, education, etc), that's 6.24 billion over the 3 year period.

It also cost them 2 billion for the package. So net gain of about 4 billion, plus the oath write off gets them real close to the target.

VZ already sold Flickr, Moviefone, and Polyvore for pennies. They're basically taking whatever they can get. I think they've already realized something like $9B in tax write-offs from the Oath properties, so they don't care what people pay for them. If they don't sell, they'll shut them down.

Actually the Oath writedown already accomplished $4.6B in tax savings. Any Patsy they can sell the business to is just bonus. Maybe Bezos or Zuckerberg?
