Can someone, anyone enlighten me to WHAT really is going to happen to retail for this new “rebranding” to 2.0. Some stores changed their outside signage to just “Verizon”, Landline wrote off a metric ton of employees, and retail stores’ headcount has dropped drastically. Could they be merging locations close within miles of each other finally? Is it just a “coincidence”? I don’t get why they refuse to tell us what is really in our future so we can prepare now and not lose focus to the task at hand, which is try to work this new comp plan for the holidays and get paid.

Best thing I ever did was leave Verizon. Found a great sales job actually value selling and not slamming senior citizens with useless Gadgets. Also mom-Friday companies value Verizon on the resume they work you like dawgs. I was in management and I got sick of not being able to look myself in the mirror because I had a sleezy metros-xual jack of a DM slithering his way through the district. Get out and move on and if you get severanced your lucky . They promote the slime their not the best talent. Its disgusting how that organization is run. The phone companies have been ripping consumers off since the phone was invented. Get out!!!
I've seen HR move people (favorites) they like away from stores and transfer into the same store others they r wanting to "work out of the biz" then within 6 months that store is sold to an Authorized Retailer (Worldwide Wireless) & everyone is layed off. Sure they say oh, if we have an opening somewhere u wont lose ur job. But they already did ALL the moves they intended to. Good Luck!
I'm just waiting for the day all sales reps are replaced by Vending Machine kiosks. Maybe I can keep my job & stock the machine! Lol
Because that's exactly what happens, has happened all over, agent takes over store and you can either work for the agent or you walk, this is where the company is headed. Open your eyes.
you dont just go from a direct store to an agent, they are seperate companies, it doesnt work that way . why do people assume thats what happens?
the clues have been there for awhile. One day you will walk in, and no longer will you be a Verizon Employee. You will be a Wireless World employee with "enhanced" benefits. The days of making a good career in corporate carrier sales is over.
What district?
They’re already closing one store in my district at the end of the year. Will they announce another closure after the 1st? I’m waiting to find out.
Get paid? Verizon does not want you getting paid. Build your resume and leave.
