The company wide layoffs will begin on Monday, December 17th, and will affect ALL departments, but the intent is to keep as many management personnel as possible, since the company has "too much invested in their present positions".
This step was taken since the previously announced cost cutting measures are NOT having the desired effect.

Yeah, we were told prep for Q1 if the field jobs don’t come in as expected down sizing will begin almost immediately.
Time to hit a division called barasolve as they have no clue at all was offshore with other division within halliburton and team that installed equipment was no use for client company man not impressed at all

Stocks are tanking, oil struggling and needs price fixing by the Saudi, yeah, makes since. bartender! another round, jeff is pickin up the tab.
They are not going to layoff a week before Christmas. Now right after Thanksgiving maybe, but whatever is left of their image would defintely be gone if they did something that stupid. I'd be shocked if there is a layoff this year, but that's just my opinion.
The highest paid hands will probably be the first to go.
