Found out our call center is for sale. How long will it before we are let go?

Your snide comment still didn't answer the ops question. You mentioned how they (Verizon) buy and sell the centers not when the center will be closing.

call centers are all leased this day and age. there were some that vz owned the building long ago but sold to a third party company from which vz leases the building back. this is a liability and also a tax stategy issue which most Fortune 500 use. vz probably planned to close center and the third party holding the title has chosen to sell the building. check your county assessors office for the parcel number then check the county recorders office to see who owns the property. then you will see how it works. check your state wage and hour bureau website for any WARN notices that vz may have filed. usually only 60 days notice required.

You think even sales departments in the centers will be converted to home base?

Besides all consumer centers are going to be converted to HBA....then outsource after that
I'm the OP, the call center is Chandler AZ, and I heard it from facilities.

shper easy for vz to rebadge all call center employees and hba employees to outsource centers except for union employees. read Bloomberg. happens all the time.
You still never specified the center that you are in. You’re anonymous. Give some others a heads up because we may be in your same center. Lord knows leadership won’t tell anyone until right before it happens.

believe it, don't believe it. I don't really care. 90% of what is written on this board is true. But there is always one who thinks it is fake news. Just like the buyout was fake, or most stores being sold off to indirects is fake, or when the stores eliminated ops and csr's, or when half of the other call centers closed. All fake right?
So not true. Verizon leases their buildings..so ah ah ah!
