It appears to be related to the formation of the Hybrid-IT business group. As it was communicated last week, there is now first step (for the nth time) "is to align our organizational structure to our goals".
With that HPE has now three business groups: Hybrid IT, Intelligent Edge (Aruba), and HPE Financial Services.
For the overall HPE survival that statement is probably a good thing:
"This will require some cultural, organizational, and operational shifts. It will take everyone having a “one team” mentality to realize the potential of our new business group."
For the individual employees that probably means more changes, more reshuffling, more offshoring, more WFR.
Talking about WFR: like every year there are rumors that the FY19 severance packages will be significantly sized down vs the ones in FY18 and FY17. Does anyone have a view here? I guess the comments on this will be rolling-in in November.
