What are your thoughts on this new job group that starts 11/2/18? I think it's b---s--- and a way to stop deleting positions and giving us Severance pay!!!

Y’all are so funny!! Everybody has a job code. They have been assigned since the day you started. It’s a 2 group code: Div/Dept/Job
For instance, Grocery Associate: Dive 18 Dept 4 Code 201. Most floor associates are 201 cashiers are 501, so 18/990/501
Pharmacy is Div 10 so a pharmacy tech is 10/27/849
It’s not a secret! Also, associates used to be divided into 7 levels, or groups based on responsibility level. TLs were all level 7, all floor associates, cashiers, were level 3, etc....Now associates are divided into 3 “groups” instead of 7 “levels” and they call them A, B and C with C being the group with all the TLs and the PTC, etc...
It’s NOT. Big deal. It’s how associates are divided based on area and level of responsibility.
It’s more shifting wages to other areas than cutting. The clubs consistently run more wages dollars year over year.
The point of them eliminating positions is to cut payroll so this changing pay grades ABC has nothing to do with your job title , you will still keep your same pay ...
Sorry it’s pay grades ABC. They can move you into another job as long as the pay is equivalent or more.
To me if they are doing something like that then they are eliminating positions. Which then they would hopefully offer a severance. I am a MTL and just waiting to see what happens with my position.
